Wind and weather
Temporary roofs catch the wind, so they're designed for the site and checked after storms. If anything looks wrong after bad weather, ring us straight away.
Book early
A temporary roof takes longer to plan than an ordinary scaffold, so tell us as soon as your roofer or builder has a start date.

On the pavement or road?
A scaffold on a public pavement or road needs a licence from the council's highways team, and councils ask for notice, so tell us early. We'll say at the quote whether you need one, and we apply for it for you.

A roof built on top of a scaffold to cover a house while its real roof is off or being worked on. It keeps the rain off the building and lets the work carry on in bad weather.
Not always. For a quick re-roof in settled weather, many roofers sheet the roof at the end of each day instead. For loft conversions, longer jobs or winter work, a temporary roof saves days lost to rain and protects the rooms underneath.
Longer than an ordinary scaffold, because the roof goes on after the scaffold is up. Danny will give you a timeline at the visit.
